Happy Monday! I thought I would post a smoothie recipe today as people often ask what I put in my instagram smoothie bowls. My classic three go-to smoothies are usually green, berry or cacao. Todays is green as I find the easiest way to up my green vege intake is to pack them into my morning smoothie. They not only taste delicious but are filling and set me up for the day! This recipe is the most simple smoothie and only requires 5 ingredients!!
- 1 large ripe banana
- 1 cup of spinach
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 tablespoons greek unsweetened natural yogurt (can use coconut yogurt or no yogurt for vegan option)
- (toppings optional and can be any fruit/berries/nuts)
- Blend everything in a whizz and pour into a bowl or cup.
- Add toppings and enjoy 🙂
NB: adding a tablespoon of spirulina powder and/or green Matcha powder also packs an extra nutrient punch
