Let me tell you about Mad Mex – the colourful Mexican eatery in The Observatory at Tauranga Crossing.
On a casual Wednesday lunch-time, I decided to finally go and check out Mad Mex with my boyfriend Rob. We arrived to a very warm reception and a very hard decision… what to choose off the delicious menu!
Tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos… all my Mexican favourites.
I asked the friendly expert behind the counter for his recommendations and settled on the ‘naked chicken burrito’ ( a deconstructed burrito). Rob opted for the pulled pork Nachos with a side of ‘loaded fries’.
Of course, we both also had Margarita’s to wash everything down.
We also got a sneak-peek of the tacos as the person behind us ordered them, and they looked pretty great too.
Our food was exactly what Mad Mex prides themselves on – fresh, authentic and delicious!
The Mad Mex branch at Tauranga Crossing is a family-owned and operated business and they believe they have the most authentic, fresh Mexican eatery in all of Australasia.
We managed to speak to the owner who told us that the food is prepared fresh every day and that they pride themselves on being authentic and using the freshest, gluten-free ingredients. Their meats and sauces are 100% natural and contain no added fillers or emulsifiers.
Although neither Rob or I are vegetarian, the selection also looked delicious.
If you’re keen to check out Mad Mex (and I highly recommend you do), they’re open 9am-9pm 7 days a week at Tauranga Crossing!
