These little balls are absolutly divine and are a guilt free treat, dessert or post workout snack! They are very adjustable and can be made less protein-y and more like cookie dough like if you adjust quantities of protein vs nut butter (less protein and more nut butter = more cookie dough like) <3

Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup NuZest Vanilla protein powder (or your favourite protein powder) -the pea protein gives fructose free natural sweetness to the balls without adding sugar, so if you are using a less sweet protein, try adding some coconut sugar, dates or rice malt syrup)
  • ¾ cup nut butter (I use almond butter)
  • ¼ cup desiccated coconut
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup cut dark chocolate or cacao nibs

Method

  1. Blend the NuZest vanilla protein powder, nut butter and the desiccated coconut together and slowly add the hot water until a dough starts to form
  2. Add the chopped dark chocolate and mix
  3. Roll into balls and refrigerate 

Makes 14 medium sized balls
